| This course is based on The Cabinet Office's best-practice guide 'Management of Risk: Guidance for Practitioners'.
The guide helps organisations put in place effective frameworks for taking informed decisions about risk.
The guide sets out a framework for managing risk at strategic, programme, project and operational levels to identify key risks, assess them and take action to address them.
Examinations
- Foundation - 75 questions including 5 trial questions, exam time 1 hour, pass mark 50% (35/70)
- Practitioner - 4 questions of 20 marks each, exam time 3 hours, pass mark 50% (40/80) using a case study to test comprehension of the method. Paper based reference material can be used during this examination.

| MSP™ (Managing Successful Programmes™) was developed by expert programme managers to be flexible and adaptable for any type and size of programme.
Examinations available
- Foundation - closed-book; forty minutes for fifty multiple-choice questions; 60% to pass.
- Practitioner - closed book; objective examination with nine questions in two hours; 50% to pass.
- Advanced Practitioner - open book; scenario-based essay examination, up to three questions to be answered in two hours; 50% to pass.

Foundation - a one hour multiple-choice closed-book examination with 75 questions (5 of which are trial questions: 35 to pass)

Practitioner - a two and half hour multiple-choice open-book (PRINCE2 Manual only) examination with a total of
108 marks available (59 marks, 55% to pass).

Re registration - a one hour multiple-choice open-book (PRINCE2 Manual only) examination with a total of 36 marks available (20 marks, 55% to pass)
