Overview

As Project Issues arise they need to be dealt with. These are identified in the Issue Log. The impact and seriousness of the Project Issue should be evaluated and assessed as to whether it is:

• A Request for Change
• An Off-Specification
• A general issue.

Responsibility for checking the issue log resides with the Project Manager. The Configuration Librarian receives and documents Project Issues.

• The Project Manager should be sure that all relevant Project Issues are being documented and accurately accounted for
• A Project Issue may need to be broken down into smaller, manageable issues
• Be sure to forward relevant Project Issues to Programme Management.

• Usually ad hoc - Project Issues are dealt with as they arise
• Update and categorise Project Issues in the Issue Log
• Uses Change Control Technique.
