Overview

This sub process carries out the doing part of a Work Package. If a 3rd party carrying out the work does not use PRINCE2 it is important to inform them about reporting, quality checking and Configuration Management requirements.

Notifying the Project Manager of the progress of each Work Package is the responsibility of the Team Manager. Steps for this are:

  • Manage Work Package development
  • Answer Team Members' queries
  • Capture and record resources used in a Daily Log and/or timesheets
  • Determine product status, monitor risks and provide effort and time estimates
  • Provide regular Checkpoint Reports to the Project Manager
  • Ensure that products satisfy the quality requirements
  • Notify the Project Manager should any Tolerance levels be at risk.
